HOW PURE IS GARDEN OF ESSENCES ALOE VERA GEL?

There are other aloe gels on the market, but 99% of them are packed with chemicals and preservatives. Not only are these toxic chemicals absorbed into your cells, but you are left with chemicals on your skin, which re-creates a dry, inflamed, skin problem.

Garden of Essences Aloe Vera Gel is:
organic
chemical free
fragrance free
dye free.

Our Aloe Vera Gel is formulated without parabens, petroleum, phthalates, alcohols, EDTA, propylene glycol, or any of the other chemicals that we can’t pronounce, which are found in other Aloe Vera Gels on the market.

Garden of Essences Organic Aloe Vera Gel Ingredients: 100% Organic Aloe Vera Gel. No other ingredients.

HOW DO YOU KNOW IF AN ALOE GEL IS CHEMICAL FREE?

Beware of companies calling their aloe gel ‘natural’ and ‘pure’, because this does not mean that the gel is free of chemical preservatives. Just check the ingredients on the label!

Even so-called ‘organic aloe gels’ can contain preservatives and other additives:- if you read the label carefully, you will see that it says something like this: Ingredients: Organic Aloe Gel, citric acid, sodium benzoate, etc.

Also beware of companies calling their product ‘aloe vera gel’, when it is in fact, a juice, and not a jelly texture.

The innermost part of the leaf, renders a clear jelly, which is what we sell. It is thick gel, and will stick to your face, exactly where you want it to.

Whereas extraction of the fuller parts of the leaf, renders a liquid, runny ‘juice’, which is far cheaper to produce. It will not stick to your face, as it has the texture of water.

WHAT’S IN ALOE VERA?

Organic Aloe Vera Leaf: – Scientists have found over 200 nutritional substances in Aloe barbadensis leaves, including 32 vitamins and minerals, 20 amino acids, and a variety of enzymes, which stimulate collagen formation, preventing DNA destruction.

Long term results of wrinkle and scar reduction is due to Aloe Gel’s mucopolysacharides, which stimulate collagen and elastin production.

Glucomannan ( a type of complex sugar), and gibberellin,( a growth hormone), stimulate collagen and elastin production, which in turn, causes wrinkle and scar reduction, and firmer skin.

Its 20 amino acids perform a variety of functions, some of which soften hardened skin or brittle hair.

Aloe Vera contains allantoin, a compound that enhances cell renewal.

Aloe has plant hormones, Auxins & Gibberellins, which have wound healing and anti-inflammatory properties.

An anti-inflammatory compound called C-glucosyl chromone, is also highly anti-inflammatory.

Aloe also contains salicylic acid that possesses anti-inflammatory properties.

How can anti-inflammatory properties benefit the skin?

Apart from alleviating a wide variety of dermatitis conditions, skin that is even mildly inflamed, does not regenerate properly, making aloe vera one of the ultimate anti-aging products.

The anti-inflammatory compounds also reduce itching of the scalp.

Aloe is deeply moisturizing for dry skin and hair, due to its many minerals and vitamins, in particular, Vitamin E, and rare natural Vitamin C.

Mucopolysaccharides help in binding moisture into the skin, which is why aloe is so moisturizing, to both skin and hair.

Aloe’s Glucomannan and gibberellin, cause an increased synthesis of hyaluronic acid, which has become famous for locking moisture into the dermal skin layers, and hair shaft.

These same moisture-boosting botanicals, are responsible for moisturizing the hair, reducing brittle hair, and taming frizzy locks. They smooth the cuticle surface and seal in moisture.

Aloe is a potent antioxidant, due to high quantities of Vitamins A, C, and E, which work to prevent wrinkles, aging skin, and hair damage.

It contains analgesic compounds, which is why some people find relief when rubbing it into sore joints. Aloin and emodin act as analgesics, which is why people experience pain reduction, when aloe is applied to sore muscles and joints, or to painful sunburn and rashes.

IS ORGANIC ALOE VERA BETTER THAN NON-ORGANIC ALOE VERA?

Its important to buy only organic Aloe Vera Gel, as a non-organic aloe plant will absorb pesticides like a sponge, which are then transferred to your skin, creating rashes, ‘allergies’, and dry skin.

Garden of Essences Organic Aloe Vera Gel is made from organically grown Aloe Vera inner leaves.

The Aloe Vera Gel is then extracted from the pure Aloe barbadensis inner leaves, producing a gel that is a naturally clear color, with a faint, crisp aroma of aloe. without adding any chemicals or additives.

IS ALOE VERA GEL GOOD FOR SKIN INFLAMMATION?

Aloe Vera Gel’s anti-inflammatory properties make it the perfect aftershave application, for both men and women. It is highly recommended for rashes, from nappy rash to sun rash.

Aloe stimulates proteolytic enzyme action in skin tissue, stimulating fibroblast cells that manufacture collagen, which replaces damaged skin.

Proteolytic enzymes are also a detoxifying agent, which has the ability to remove dead skin cells and toxins, thus purifying the pores.

These enzymes also balance cell renewal of the scalp, and together with aloe’s antifungal properties, can reduce or get rid of dandruff and other flaky scalp conditions.

Aloe has 8 enzymes, for example, Bradykinase helps to reduce excessive inflammation when applied to the skin topically, which stimulate collagen formation, and prevent DNA destruction.

Organic Aloe Vera Gel contains four sterols, which are natural plant steroids, acting in an anti-inflammatory capacity.

Acne responds well to aloe, because additionally, it contains wide-spectrum, natural, anti-bacterial properties.

HOW DO I USE ALOE VERA GEL?

For those of you who prefer to complete your skin routine with a face cream, use Aloe Vera Gel as a 20 minute mask, then rinse it off, with water.
Then apply your cream. Your skin will feel softer than ever.

Aloe Vera Gel hydration is different to using face creams:

– Some people’s skins are lacking in oil, in which case, a face cream is a good solution.

– But other people’s skins are lacking in water, and this is when a hydrating gel. like Aloe Vera Gel, can give you the results you have been searching for.
Aloe Vera Gel is high in humectants, which draw moisture to the skin, locking it in all day.

LONG TERM EFFECTS OF ALOE VERA GEL

Is aloe vera recommended for all skin types?

Aloe vera is recommended for all skin types. That said, many aloe products contain harsh and toxic chemicals, which could worsen skin conditions. That is why it is so important to use the purest aloe product.

What is the purest aloe skin product?

It should be made from the inner gel, be organic, and contain no chemicals. This is extremely hard to find, but Garden of Essences,’ is an aloe vera gel that fits all these criteria.

Available at our etsy store.

I was honoured to be featured in dermstore’s blog:

“More Than Just a Juice Craze: What Aloe Vera Can Do for Your Skin and Hair”, in which I was quoted as saying:

Scientists have found over 200 nutritional substances in aloe barbadensis leaves,” says beauty and aromatherapy expert Janice Rosenthal, owner of Garden of Essences. “These include proteolytic enzymes that stimulate fibroblast cells in our skin tissue that manufacture collagen and elastin, which in turn restore damaged skin and keep it firm.”

Because of its cell-renewing properties, aloe vera is known to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, scars and even stretch marks. It’s also a potent antioxidant, thanks to its high concentration of vitamins A, C and E—all essential in preventing visible signs of aging and hair damage and neutralizing free radicals. Its antibacterial, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory benefits also make it effective in treating acne and other skin and scalp irritations.

Worried the summer heat might do a number on your skin and hair? Fret no more. According to Rosenthal, aloe vera comes loaded with “moisture-boosting” nutrients and natural sugars that are responsible for “locking moisture into the skin and hair shaft, alleviating dryness, preventing brittle hair and taming frizz.”

Saintlbeau.com also quoted my research on Aloe Vera:

Beauty and Fragrance Specialist Janice Rosenthal, owner of Garden of Essences, said: “Scientists have found more than 200 nutrients in aloe vera leaves, including proteolytic enzymes that stimulate cellular cells. Fibers in skin tissue create collagen and elastin, thereby restoring damaged skin.
